When the New Year comes it brings...

possibilities

Oh, the possibilities of a new year!
Old pencils can't wait to create something new.
My bunny jar stuffed with erasers, hold memories of hasty decisions that met with untimely ends.
When the New Year comes, it will bring along good and friendly, Second chance, bouncy and buoyant, Hope, and a clear-eyed optimist named, Future.

                           CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

The Mouse King's musicians are playing this year.  Come one, come all!
If you find yourself in the Mouse Woodland this Christmas eve. this is a performance that you will not want to miss.
The Dainty Mouse Dancing Troupe will return with their spectacularly athletic, yet, dainty feats designed to mystify and amaze.  You must come, they are so pretty and magical!
The Opera Singing Mice Return!
The Mouse Woodland rings with splendid coloratura when these two meeses sing.  There will also be a candlelight service with carols.

Has anyone spotted the Mouse King Yet?

Remember that you must follow him to the Mouse King Party.  If you cannot find him ask the birds.  They will tell you where he is and where the party is being held this year.
If you are reading this and you are not a mouse, follow these instructions:
When you go to bed on Christmas eve. pretend to sleep.  While it is true that you cannot fool Santa, the Sandman is so sleepy he is easy to convince.  Grab hold of his coattails.  He is obligated to drop anyone off in the outskirts of Mouse Woodland if they are lucky enough to catch him. From there, the giant tortoise will give you a ride to the heart of the woods.  Don't forget to ask the birds for directions.

Merry CHRISTMAS to all!

                     Gloaming

                                Twilight, the beginning of evening.

Peter and Petal Mouse

Peter and Petal meet in the gloaming, the twilight of betwixt and between.  No cats can find them and no one can harm them.  It is the magic hour.

Peter always takes his beloved to sweet places.   They meet on spongy cakes where they make sugary tracks in the cool icing.  Here it snows candy confetti and flowers spring from the corners they nibble.

                                 Transcend

To rise above,
                   or go beyond, overpass;
exceed: to out do or exceed in excellence.

Bunny on the moon

The bunny on the moon was the best star catcher of all. He let his shiny friends sit in his comfortable basket and fed them tidbits of moon cheese.  He gave them rides on his fishing pole and flung them to far off places in the galaxy.  He sang them lullabies and loved them dearly.
How did the best star catcher transcend all ideas of friendship?
 He let them all go.

Glimmer
           To glitter

to flash,  to give a faint or intermittent light.

The Bunny Brotherhood

This was the day that he had been waiting for.  This was the day he would join the Bunny Brotherhood where all were long of ear and brave of heart.
As a kit, he had had a glimpse of what that would mean.  Many a bunny came back from the initiation with an extra spring in the leg, a knowing gleam in the eye.  These bunnies were brave and true.  They were sworn to protect, educate and treat all bunnykind with kindness and love.

Quintessence

Quintessence The most essential part of any substance; a highly refined essence or extract.  The purest and most perfect form or manifestation of some quality.

This is what is was like to love.
                                love            love

love           The new arrival, snuggled in his periwinkle blue pajamas  love
                          was the quintessence of love.
No one would ever be the same..                Love

Intuition

                             Intuition
To Look, to receive knowledge by direct perception
                                                       To behold

Laundry Day
             Something big was coming.

She felt it in the way the wind batted at her ankles, at the way the very blades of grass perked up by the approaching storm.  This would be no ordinary storm.  She needed to get home fast.  Something would be waiting for her.
                                                                                     Something Good.
